Day Trip to Barron Canyon

"So meticulous are its crafts yet it knows no price. Mere wind, rain and time are its tools yet it has achieved masterpieces no man has yet to feat. Truly, nature is deserving of the respect one can give to a great sculptor. Not once did its creations cease to amaze."
I originally wrote this for instagram and this caption truly captures what I witnessed during this mini road trip. Located within Algonquin Park's far and desolate Sand Lake Gate, the Barron Canyon trail, offers a view that is super unique! The drive up from Ottawa was nice and the temperature was just right for an outing when went! Fun fact, I had a change of pants moment on my return trip as I thought I would run out of gas inside the park (no, there were no park rangers as it was unmaintained during winter season).
It was getting late too! But I'm here writing this now am I not? Please monitor your gas when overlanding, don't be me that day! On behalf of Nordern Wanderers to yourself, I would highly recommend visiting this gem of a place given the chance. Mother nature is hands down my favourite sculptor - change my mind.
